Vocational Training Projects in Rural Areas

Training is provided in rural areas for production of handicrafts, handloom, agricultural and farm products. The trainees learn to make soft luggage, paper bag, doormat, chappals, wall hangings, dhotis, sharees, paddy and vegetables. There is also "food for work" program where the people work to supply drinking water and build link roads in exchange for food.

Yougsters engaged in Handicraft training at Kakula Center in East Singbhum. Similar projects have been undertaken in different centers of this district including Barajuri center.

Sri Mahendra Pratap Singh, Finance Minister, Jharkhand, inaugurating Grain Bank for  tribals at Jamshedpur. Similar Grain Banks have been opened at Davanki (Potka Block), Singhbhum, for supplying seeds.
